About Luchia

Luchia is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and climate activist who strives to uplift her community and promote positive social change. She bridges her two passions of filmmaking and activism to create videos that have called on elected officials to take more urgent climate action and have highlighted the amazing work local organizations are doing. She believes that video is a powerful communication tool that can bring prevalent issues to the forefront and galvanize important conversations.

Besides climate-related videos, Luchia has created various kinds of content: short films, PSAs, documentaries, animation, and advertisements. Her documentary about a judo fighter, “Senshi: The Japanese Word for Fighter,” won best documentary in the LA Teens Film Fest and was nominated for best action sports in the All American High School Film Festival. Her most recent short film, “La Mer,” is an official selection for an international film festival. Additionally, she has worked with companies and organizations to create social media (Instagram and TikTok) content!

With every project, Luchia hopes to inspire, story tell, and shed light on different perspectives.
